What are Crayfish?

As a youngster I used to go to ponds or rivers by my house and try to catch these things. Crayfish are classified as decaponds which means ten feet and lives in freshwater environments. There are more than 500 in the world which inhabit streams, lakes, and ponds. Crayfish are usually four inches long here in Hawaii but grow as big as the size of lobsters in Australia. Crayfish eats dead matter, small fish, and invertebrates. Information obtained from Crayfish and picture from Hawaiian Aquatic Organisms.

How to control termites from your home?

Termites cannot be fully eliminated from your property because they are all over the ground. The only way to know that termites are invading your house is when the walls start falling over. One way to eliminate termites is spraying the soil around your house because termites can’t develop resistance from pesticides and once you kill the queen termite everything in the colony dies as well. Picture from: Cockroaches

I chose the cockroach because of so many in my house that would crawl once the door would open in my grandma's kitchen and why we have so many cockroaches here in Hawaii.

What are Cockroaches good for?

Cockroaches are food supplies for many organisms like small mammals, birds, amphibians and lizards. Cockroaches are classified as omnivore scavengers in which they are like garbage disposers by eating up decomposed organic litter such as other cockroaches. They are over 3000 species of cockroaches and only 10 are classified as pests. The other species of cockroaches are part of the biodiversity on earth.
