What are Crayfish?

As a youngster I used to go to ponds or rivers by my house and try to catch these things. Crayfish are classified as decaponds which means ten feet and lives in freshwater environments. There are more than 500 in the world which inhabit streams, lakes, and ponds. Crayfish are usually four inches long here in Hawaii but grow as big as the size of lobsters in Australia. Crayfish eats dead matter, small fish, and invertebrates. Information obtained from Crayfish and picture from Hawaiian Aquatic Organisms.
